Biography

Kyle MacDonald, aka DJ KONA, has been a musician and entertainer since inception. The Atlanta based DJ/Producer grew up as a guitarist, and while playing in a local garage band with his buddies he was introduced to the world of entertaining. At a young age, he realized his true passion for being driving the force behind parties and events. When Kyle began studying in Statesboro, GA, he realized that he no longer had a band to back him up, and he discovered electronic music as another outlet. Kyle then bought his first turntables and DJ KONA was born. After moving back to hometown Atlanta, KONA has become a staple in the top Atlanta nightspots. From performing to hundreds in packed nightclubs to dark underground lounges, KONA brings together fat rhythmic beats and groovy, classic samples to create an amazing dance environment. Not only is KONA prominent in nightclubs, he has also made a name for himself for some of his productions. Garnishing a healthy following online, some of his productions have been featured on blogs such as, tophousemusicblog.com and thesourceofhousemusic.blogspot.com. Look for 2014 to be a big year for KONA, as he is set to release more anticipated bootlegs, mash ups, and originals blending house, funk, and disco that will for sure knock your groovy socks off.
